After acquiring the player, I looked at his Buzzermanager data and saw that his potential had been reached. Despite this, I gave him three weeks of one-on-one training with guards and one week with forwards, something I'd heard before. However, he didn't see any improvement. When I looked at the market, I noticed that many players with superstar potential have a total type rating in the 130s. Is my player truly at his full potential, or is the Buzzer Manager data outdated?

The same applies to this player. Buzzer Manager shows he's close to reaching his potential. Yet, there are many players on the market with a 120 type rating who are perpetually all-star potential.

I expect our friends who have clear knowledge on this matter to get back to me.

I think Buzzer Manager's 7 - perennial all-star potential is still fairly accurate;
I'm not sure about 8 - superstar potential;
I've heard that 10 - hall of famer potential is underestimated, and players can be trained higher.

The model for the potential formula should be like what’s written in this post (188524.1).

The player's attributes did not increase this week either. This is very interesting based on the topic I've explained.

I think your player's potential might be exhausted by high outside defence and especially shooting range. Not all skills work the same on potential in all positions. For example, rebounding is notoriously bad for the guards.

If he's at the 9 form every week, you can inspect his DMI, whether it's going up significantly. If yes, he might still be training. If the change is very small, that probably means there's no potential left.

PS.: Tried to play with your player's potential in BZM (Tools - Salary estimation - Your player? No). Yes, he looks completely cooked. Both OD and SR put heavy toll on the potential.

Thank you for the information you provided. This means we need to be more careful from now on.

The calculation formula on BM hasn't been updated for a long time. However, several changes have been made to the cost of each skill in recent years. Then it is no longer 100% accurate.
