When will you release the version 1.0 of BBapi?

You've metioned you want to deny the data access from BBWeb from middle of May.

Hi Charles, I really like the possibility of the XML-Interface and would like to develope an statistic webside like there is also someone for Hattrick.

But iam not sure that this could work with BB because the login is based on JAVA script and so it needs a clientside login - if iam right!?

I am not a JAVA developer, I work more on HTML/PHP, is there a possibility that I can login to BBData per HTML/PHP, like sending the necessary values through some other way then JAVA script?

Thanks and Greetings OJAY

i got the same question like you, cause i want to use the xml-data for my scouting-database http://www.bbscout.net.tf/ which runs under PHP/MySQL. i also need a possibility to login by sending user/password-values as POST-variables.
thanks for asking ojay!

I would also like to get a more decent login.
Cant you expose the data as a webservice or something?

You could also make us post a application name in the post input and that way control the application who use the interface.
I you don't mind me saying so the login now seems like a quick fix to exposed the data.

Note to OJAY java script programmering is not java programmering it is 2 different worlds.

Hi Jantzen,

I know there is a difference between java script and java itself. In the case of the BBData login it works with an java script which needs a clientside action and thats my problem in the moment because I want to do a serverside query with html/php!

Maybe you could support me and give me some idea or solution how that can work without javascript login procedures!?

I think with the new interface (http://www2.buzzerbeater.org/BBData/) there is already an more decent login/webservice which is also the best way for using with applications but at all it needs the possibility to login with HTML/PHP, maybe there is a way to do that and I am to boorish, then please support me!

Because the login for accessing XML files use the access key instead of the password. Of course for security reasons.
My application Basket Organizer already uses this mechanism of authentication from the previous month. Thus each user need not show your password.
Sometimes users reported difficulties in login because they write a password and not the access key
