Algo que te podría ayudar con el cuidado de la forma, entre otras cosas, sería entrenar un par de niveles de resistencia.
Igualmente, poniéndole un suplente específico para él (no en dos posiciones) y jugando dos partidos a la semana, vas a poder manejar mejor el tema de los minutos.

No se discute que tenga nivel, sobre todo como shooter porque las tira todas, y con ese nivel de tiros es excelente.
También coincido que necesitamos jugadores completos en todas las posiciones, pero es fundamental que mantengan buenos niveles de formas, porque a nivel de selección no se puede regalar mucho en las formas.
