Hello,

Before when I played "Strictly follow" and put my backup player only on Reserves, they only played in garbage time or injury/6 fouls situations. Now they are playing like a normal backup getting minutes in the first quarter. Is it because they erased strictly follow dept chart or something?

I have been playing BB for 15 years (RL) and in every game of every year I have ever played I have either trained 3-6 players in either 1-2 positions...

...and have NEVER had significant training minute losses like those discussed here. Perhaps a 47 minutes at worst or less if fouled out (acceptable). Why? because I have followed a two strict rules:

1. If you are training a player, play them 48 minutes and list them as STARTER/RESRVE/BACKUP; and
2. Choose Strictly Follow for Coach decisions.

IMO, there is nothing wrong with the GE, you just need to assume that if you do not follow these 2 above rules, things may not go as you planned regarding minutes and training...and likely won't.

Best Regards.

Let me add two or three comments:

1. You have to select „let them play“ in case of foul trouble.
2. You should not line up more than 9 players for 1-pos.-training; 8 for 2-pos.-training.
3. Do not screw your substitutions ;-) straight structure/line up.

I got the best results with leaving the starter blank which is a little bit risky in case of walk overs.

Since exhaustion has been introduced it is very hard to have players older than 27 to get 48 minutes … but they only have to play 40 minutes for full training … so there is no problem ;-)

+1 Erik.

I forgot to mention 'let them play' and this is very important.
