Hello everyone!

Thanks for voting for me - and it's also great that we had 4 people vote, more than in the seasons before! Right before the end of the elections I had to move to a different city in Germany, that's why I've been so quiet during the past couple of days and haven't replied to BB-mails or forum-posts so far ...

I'm thrilled to be coaching the U21 for another two seasons. I've definitely thought about another term (even though this one hasn't really begun yet) and it's been a lot of fun during the last couple of seasons with you guys. But as I've said and promised during the elections: if Lagavulin wants to take over in season 42, he has my blessing. And I'll definitely try to involve him for those two seasons so as to make it a smooth transition. It's always great when managers of smaller countries (I don't very much like the term "micro-nations") get involved with the NTs. And especially now that the big merger is coming (it wasn't really a surprise to me but even though I'm not actively involved, I don't like it very much ... it takes some of the most important things out of the game - at least for me). The NTs will still be there so I guess there's a chance that the journey can continue and we might even have some more great draftees due to the fact that you'll be playing in different leagues. But I still don't like it not to be able to be looking at the scottish leagues and try to get into contact with everyone. That's definitely a minus for me but doesn't concern the U21 in the next two seasons.

We have a good base of players, we still won't be able to beat the "big" teams, but I'll try to win as many games as possible (as always).

Please keep training your players and keep them in good gameshape. Those two things are our weapons against stronger opponents ... and we'll still be needing quite a lot of luck.

But keep it up, everyone! I'm definitely pleased at having 5 (!!!!) players with 10k or more salary ... and John MacLeay, who might break the record set by Eric Stein just a season later, doesn't show that he has more to offer than his 8k salary might suggest.

Have a great season, everyone!

Cheers, Wendell

It's me again! And again we've got a game that is impossible to win. We play Spain - Number 2 in the World. If we lose by less than 40 (or even 50), I'll call it a victory! The team this year is actually a pretty solid one. A couple of players are coming of age that I've been mentoring ... the only thing that doesn't really work yet (including my player ) is gameshape. A couple of you are on your way but I've had to make exceptions from my rule to not let any player on the court with less than respectable gameshape. But especially in the first game we wouldn't have had more than 2 players on the court. But I definitely want to get back to that rule as it has helped a lot in the past to get a couple of nice victories!

So let's see what will happen tonight ... and how our players will perform despite having zero chances of winning the game. Maybe we'll win one quarter. That would be nice

Keep up the great training and have a great week!

It's showtime! Today is one of the most important matches in my career as U21 team manager for Scotland. We play England. And we have tried everything in order to win this game. So now let's see what happens. With 1:30 minutes to go, we lead by 3 points ... lets have our fingers crossed that we'll keep up the energy!!

Well, that's too bad! -6 against England is just not nice. I haven't checked but it's probably one of the closest we've gotten to a win against England. But damn! I really wanted that win. Having lost against all the british neighbours a couple of seasons back had me set the goal to win next time ... and being last in our group doesn't look nice, either. We'll continue to work hard!! Keep it up and thanks for the nice gameshape and good training!!

And another close game today. We trail by 4 at halftime against Slovensko. Let's hope we'll manage to surprise them in the second half ... I'd definitely like the win today. Especially since we were so close against England last week ... and the team with those nice guys definitely deserves a win. So let's keep our fingers crossed for the second half!!

That was a very disappointing season! No wins in the european championship. And close games against England and Ireland. But still now wins. I really wanted to win those two games. Even though we had a lot of GS-trouble this season (more than the last season) we should have gotten two wins ... didn't work. So now it's definitely set. I'm going to resign after next season - and hopefully Lagavulin will take over! I wanted to improve every season and that didn't work at all this season. Next season I'll try to get as many wins as possible in the consolation tournament and then a new era will start (hopefully!!)

Thanks for your combined training efforts and support!

Cheers, Wendell

Hey everyone! Sorry, I wasn't able to log in in time to set up a lineup for today's game and I fear that there are only 2 players in the standard lineup. So it'll be a forfeit and I'm sorry. Shouldn't happen and is the first time it has happenend in my NT-carreer. This season has been good so far. We've won the games we vould win (and survived two CTs) - and today would have been a loss anyway. But still, I'mrather pissed at myself for not setting up a lineup
beforehand.

Thanks for the good training this season!! Keep it up, especially in the next seasons with the new coach!!

Well, that's rather disappointing. Losing in OT against a much stronger opponent is rather frustrating. Especially since we would have won if I hadn't missed out on the lineup the week before and played TIE instead of Normal ... 4-4 would have been the maximum that we could have achieved and we almost did. It's great to see that you guys continue to train the young players and thus help build up the future of the NT ... thanks for your support over the last 6 seasons, I'm looking forward to see the u21 develop even more with the next coach who hopefully has more time at hand than me at the moment and will help improve the whole team!!

Cheers, Wendell
