I'm assuming this feature isn't available yet because it's too early in the season? I came in at the end of Season 2 and it was always there, just wondering when we can starting ranking people, thanks.

Precisely.

It will be close to the end of the season.

Thinking out loud, is there any reason why the scouting results couldn't be updated as the season goes along? At the first of the season, you might know that there is a "5" and a "2", and another owner might know that there are a pair of "4"s. As time goes on they might learn about the grade and best skill. But since the player order is randomized, is there anything more that can be shared during the season than can be shared at the end of the season?

Some owners have asked to know how many units of scouting that they have used. What better way than to show the actual results. It could even introduce a little bit of tactics into spending. If you aren't seeing many "5"s you can boost your scouting, or cut back if you think that you have enough prospects.

That would be helpful indeed.

I have a newbie question about scouting. The scouting updates with the training on friday morning, but on the economy page the costs remains till the economy update.
If I want to change the amount of scouting, when should I do that? What happens if I do it between friday and sunday?

Wow, great question.

Anyone know the answer to this?

This is a wonderful idea. I'm in this game essentially for the draft and the subsequent player development. That's what interests me. Seeing the draft scouting unfold would keep me interested.

Of course, it would also allow for a greater opportunity for friends in the same conference to share data to the detriment of the other conference members.

I imagine the above is why BB keeps the data unrevealed until just before the draft.

That is precisely why it wont happen.

What data could be shared? "Ooh! I've got a 5" "Shucks. I got another 3 this week." "At least it wasn't a 1 like I had the week before. That was depressing"

Since the identifying numbers are randomized independently for each team, there is no way to really share information.

Or if there is a way to share information, then it could occur in the two weeks before the draft when the scouting information is revealed as easily as it would be if you slowly got more information during the season.

Without really thinking deeply about it, revealing info in chunks can allow for collusion where the same info about a player could be released to both teams, and they could confirm that's the same player, and then when further, but different info is released about that player, they can share it.

If it's all released at once, this wont occur.
