I purchased Sandy Golden off the transfer list prior to this season in hopes of him catalpulting my team to the playoffs. His game averages prior to this season were around 7.5 to 9.0, however, this season they are lingering at around 5.0 to 5.5. And he's having an awful season along with my team. He 's sucking 9k a week out of my treasury too!

What would cause such a huge dropoff? I do play him out of position as he's a SG, but I'm playing him at SF due to lack of depth on my team. Is this why?

Note this, he has terrible IS, and you play Look Inside. He wouldn't be able to score that much in your offense, I have the same problem with my Point Guards. He also has mediocre OD, and Awful ID, which other SF's in your league may exploit, resulting in a lower rating. His former team played Run and Gun, so his rating would be higher due to more hit shots.

I just figured that out and put all my shooters w/ crappy IS on the transfer list.

I'm going to load up w/ guards w/ so-so shooting, but good driving/handles/OD/IS

My PF & C are have good IS/ID/REB...so no wonder my team is lousy as my guards were holding my team back from serious contention.

Player ratings are also influenced pretty heavily by the team's enthusiasm for a game. It's very possible that the previous owner TIE'd most of the time, maintaining a high enthusiasm, which would have kept the game ratings higher than in the case where the team plays Normal most every game (which it looks like you do).
