Seems like my Merchandise Revenue has topped off at about $12k per week.

Is this just the maximum I can get in series III and winning all my games?

I have a level 4 pr man...if I increased his level, would it be worthwhile?

my GUESS is that there is a 'soft cap' based on what league you are in.

I went up from 2K to 3K then 4K and maxed? at 5.5K in Div IV, on a 8-9 winning streak

What level was your PR guy? Does it matter?

I've had a 5 PR which brought me between 20K and 30K.
I've replaced it with 9 which took it down to 18K, but it happened during two weeks i've lost one game of the two.
now, after winning again and getting 35K a week, i've replaced him to a 1. this way i'll be able to tell next week if the revenue depends on the PR man or the winning streak (as long as I'll keep winning...).

Cool...I'll be glad to see how your experiment goes. Please post the results next week.

my PR is a 4

EDIT: I am afraid to go up to a PR8 or 9 right now as I dont know if it will help me..but I might give it a one week go.
I also wonder if it also is somewhat dependant on your how many Season Ticket Holders you have at the beginning of the season, or does that just affect attendance more?

I am also in division III.
Last Week's Merchandise Revenue: $13704
I have a lvl 6 PR Manager, and started the season with 616 season ticket holders (for some reason I think season ticket holders has some relevance here).

what I'm about to tell is based on instinct only!!! be warned. ;)
(well it's a little based on the rules as well)

PR man: I don't think he will influence a lot on merchandising, in the rules it says that people want to buy winnig team's stuff. Merchandisisng probably is depending on the league and your wins, and MAYBE a little on PR, but I doubt it.

What I thing PR does is this: influence your fan base. this means you will sell more luxury boxes and courtside seats, these are the more steady numbers, and are in my opinion strongly influenced by the PR man, and a littel by your wins.
The other seats and bleachers are for the people who will come if you win, so the PR man will only be of little influence on them.

So in order to see the effect or the PR man, I think you should look at luxury boxes and courtside seats (given that you don't chance the ticket prizes!!!)
That's what I think, it could be horribly wrong though...
I do bleieve that if you want to build up a steady growing fanbase, you should have some degree of PR man, so it is more a long term investment. If you are only interested in short term, you might as well hire a level 1.
I truly can't tell if the long term plan will be more profitable though.

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

I can strengthen some of your theories a bit regarding revenues.
Last week I fired my 9 PR-Man as an experiment. I've started monitoring this value few weeks before, and noticed it keeps going up with my winning streak. last week (before the firing) it got to 35K$ in merchandise revenues, I've replaced him with a 1 PR-Man, and this week it got to 38K$.
This strengthens the hypothesis that merchandise revenue only depends on winning, since the growth was at the same rate as it was last week with the 9 PR-Man.

I can also say that the best way to notice the PR-Man influence on ticket sale would be to lose some games in a row, but none of us wants that :)

b.t.w. on my last two games losing streak the revenues went down to 20K, which was the reason I hired the 9 PR-Man. I believe I could achieve the same revues I get now with the 5 i've had back then.
