there is a team (70371) in my league. it was one of the top contenders forpromotion but gone bot. after that players with high wages continued to play but team ratings are down like a bot team.

Question 1: i thought when a team is gone bot, players are replaced by cheaper players. that does not seem to be the case.

Question 2: how can 12-13k salary averaging starters produce such low ratings? thereis something wrong for sure.

Players from the old team remain on the bot team until they get a new manager when the old players are retired.

It wouldn't make sense to make a new set of players when a team bot and ANOTHER set when a new manager comes in.

normally they stay bot don't play, and it makes sense also like it makes sense that the new team starts with new players.

Also i don't expect a team without owner to pay high salarys, alone this should be a reason why the players left, and makes it more reasonable then new player sfor new teams.

The answer to question 2 is that the players are playing out of their position.

When match orders are not set (which is obviuosly the case as the team is bot-controlled), the computerized manager selects formations following some weird rules. Something like: the best player in the roster, wage-wise, is the starting PG, the second to best is the starting SG, and so on... so basically positions are decided regardless of players' roles and a C may play as a PG or a SG, and vice versa.

yeah, thats exactly it. i somehow missed that point when checking the boxscores. i think this is a problem that should be corrected as if someone has his players suited well wagewise then he will be competitive season long when goes bot. this might affect the standings at the end of the season.
