First round of the playoffs is tonight, and there likely won't be any upsets. Unless Deronimo has something to say about it! Yeah, probably not...

But anyway, who do you think meets in the finals, and then who do you think promotes?

I'd say the Dribble Penetrators beat the surprise Big 8 Luchadors to promote. DC has strengthened their team too much over the last season and have home court throughout.

I think the semi's will be the real series to watch lol. DC - Googily, and Lilburn - FTSP. I think these 2 games can go either way. Yea I think that DC will pull out a win and Lilburn will surprise FTSP. But, I also think that Googily can pull off an upset and FTSP can pull out a win just as easy, so it is really too hard to actually put my finger on just 1 team from each side, I mean, I didn't even make the playoffs and I beat both DC and Googily facing their best lineups.
So if I can beat them, Lilburn/FTSP can too.
But, I think your right, I think DC will promote out of this league and go on to the NBBA, with the addition of that monster center... i knew they would leave us all behind.

I'm basically in the same boat. Expect no upsets tonight and then am excited for the semis.

I'm going to try my best to promote. I'm definitely not looking for another 2nd place trophy. I'd love to have a go at the NBBA but I must admit that I have really enjoyed II.2. In the end I'm confident that we will send a quality team (whoever wins) up to the NBBA.

I see no upsets, with DC over The Fish in the finals. Too much talent on those 2 teams to see it any other way.

It was going to be a possibility. It was promotion or bust for me, so I switched over to a Nat Appeal PR guy (for the finals, though I guess I could have waited to do so), and went Playoff Normal v. Deronimo. A little surprising of a result, but Deronimo played a nice match. Congrats.

I hate being a poor sport, but when you finish in the black hole that is 5th place(no games or revenue), I think I'm entitled to being a poor sport...

So with that being said...

I'm glad FSP lost, because they beat me last week... The end!

Deronimo are scrappers, GL to them and everyone else!

hey i'm right there with ya... i'm having to sell players to keep my team from going under until next season freaking starts..
I think its completely screwey for teams in the 5th or 8th spots.. no revenue what so ever.. i mean i could understand if you finished dead last.. but 5th place?! c'mon 6th and 7th places earn revenue. Whats so bad about 5th place? why can't 5th place from both conferences play each other (for fun or something) and earn even just a little revenue instead of dumb scrimmages.

Even though I know I'm not going to win, I'm definitely going to give it my best shot. I know I'm far from NBBA caliber talent wise, but I'd love the promotion bonus. =]

Good luck to us 4 teams left in it, it will definitely be fun to watch! I'm hoping I can pull off the upset, and deronimo can too, that way I have an equal opponent in the finals instead of getting plastered, like I have the past 3 seasons against DC, Burlington and Quakers.

I agree with the 5th spot problem. Thats a black hole when it comes to cash, however i dont think that they should get the same revenue as the 4th place teams because they (4 spot )made the playoffs, where as 5th place did not. However, there should be some form of revenue for the 5th place teams somewhere.
