How much longer are we going to have to endure pointless scrimmages?

There is more activity on the transfer list to buy 1-3k players than ever before. Surely this is an indicator of their irrelevance.

Flag chasing is nice and one thing. No-one wants to lose training, but surely there is an alternative to the trend that is clear at the moment.

If there are really managers out there with squad depth and playing their scrimmage seriously, i apologise... but i can almost guarantee if you are you are falling behind the curve with respect to salaries you are paying out.

I'd love to hear your alternative.

A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

Maybe a regional club competition or global club competiton using the new ranking system. It must be possible to run a comp over 2 seasons like the national teams. Anything to ensure that teams maintain suitable squad strength and depth. At the moment just spending 4-6k a week (to reduce risk of injury and to not have to carry $100k+ of extra salaries feels like a cheat of the system.)

To be honest, there isnt an obvious answer to the problem or I assume scrimmages wouldve been replaced by now.

I havent got a nailed on suggestion to improve however Im sure between the community we have some thoughtful ideas could be raised and potentially moulded into an alternative solution?

You have to have this for dealing with minutes. Game shape wise not trining wise (that's another story). You can't cahnge this to blatantly give advatnage to one lineup approach and not the others.

It is a team management game. In my mind the game is about managing all the factors of your team, not just the ones that suit your taste. Perhaps you should sell some of your talent and buy some bench guys? OR continue buying scrubs just to play scrimmages. Or opt out of scrimmages. With a small roster you should be able to get enough PT for all your guys. The game shoudn't be changed to satisfy the upper echelon of teams. I see absolutely no problems with scrimmages. They allow for flag-chasing, a fun and cool part of this site, they allow you to play players out of position to get them training in other skills without worrying about drop in competitiveness, and they allow you to try various tactics/ combinations.

I do think your suggestion for a regional club competition is a great idea, but as teams crash out of the Cup at different times, it would be very difficult to shcedule it. I suppose after the All-Star game a regional club Cup could go into effect. Once again what do teams that lose do?

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

I have one 1k guy and I do consider it as difficult to have more. If you manage to go far in national cup you must have decent "scrimmage" players. What is a big disadvantage though is that the cup competition draw is random. Two top flight teams can go meet already in first round.

To have cup games also for those that go out early could be an option. Something that awards you less money than advancing in main cup but still gives you an award for having good backup players.

Regional games or some kind of continental league/tournaments (ideally for different levels of competition) would be a nice addition (in arcade mode). But not instead of SCs.

Maybe the BBs have adopted this new national ranking to apply it to the draw of the national cup in further seasons... Let's wait for what they have in mind...

scrimmages are the only disadvantages of being in a contry in which there are few players and many of them with weak players...if you want,we can made an exchange between our teams

I certainly do think that there is a need of more competitive games on Thursdays so that the scrimmages are less of a problem and teams can't just use useless players to decrease salaries.

Well, having some $1000 players just for scrimmages is not a big issue... for me paying $60000 for a coach that increases his wages every week is a much more relevant issue... and if you want to have more competitive games on thursdays just keep on the Cup as long as possible... or buy supporter and play on fridays without fear of having players injured or with bad form...
