I would like to enquire on possible factors which cause your merchandise revenue to drop.

The economic update just happened and I noticed an 18k drop in my merchandise revenue. I have not lost a single game since the last update, nor have I transferred any player. The previous game that I was in was against my club rival and I walked away with a road win. From these factors, I would at least expect the merchandise revenue to remain static rather than drop. Any ideas?

Well maybe they just tuned the function if something was a little off, now with new formulas? Why has everyone to whine and complain about everything all the time?

If it was tuning then it is fine. This is not a whining thread, but a discussion thread on what affects merchandise revenue. Of course I find it weird when I'm on a good week with a win over my rival on the road only to find my revenue dropping 18k.

Local players not performing? Could be the reason. Maybe we can gather some info on performance vs merchandise revenue.

Could be but from my interpretation of the news item it was to be a one time thing for the opening week of the season. I could be wrong though.

I believe that teams that won the championship of their league get an extra boost in fan enthusiasm at the start of the season, that decays away as the season progresses. This was designed to give teams that promoted some time to adapt to their new league, kinda like the fans were so excited to see them play in a new league that they were a little more pumped. I didn't implement this feature, but it might be that it was added to all champions of the previous season and not those who promote... i will ask charles but it would lead to this effect.

Thanks for the explanation, Forrest.
Going by this, teams that won the championship will see a gradual decrease in merchandise revenue throughout the season but teams that don't see a more static figure?
