I noticed no Cup thread for season 10 was made yet... or I couldn't find it. so here it goes...


to start off, my next game is against a player who likes to play psychological battles outside the cup, in order to try to advance in the cup.
I received e-mails telling me he will focus on his league games because he doesn't have a chance in the cup against me anyway.
Nice try ofcourse. Only, I don't buy it.
Even though I replied I can't afford to gamble and have to play safe, I think he still hopes I will give him a chance by underestimating him.
Selfish as I am, I won't. ;þ
He practically threw his competition games and lost his first game this week in very big numbers playing TIE. So far for focussing on the league.

So hee's my prediction for my next game.

My opponent will play run and gun, with 2-3 zone defense, and he will crunch.

Now all wait and see what will happen tomorrow. Wonder how good my prediction skills are. ;þ


oh, and if someone knows the French for Cup, lpease let me know so I can adjust the title of this thread...

the only difference is....

I went posting my prediction here, and had made my planning in my excell sheet when I had to leave.

I would put my line-up after I would get back from work on thursday. I'd have about 3 hours of time, which is plenty.

Ad then, when I got home, my internet connection was gone, and I just got it back now. So I actually never get to play my line-up I was planning to play, and more important, the thing still was on TIE, which I set last week after the previous game, and which I was DEFINATLY going to change. :s

So I repeat once more: titels can only be won if you do not have bad luck anywhere on the road...

No need to say this is the most sucky loss I had in my BB history. Seeing the score it went better then I had expected with this line-up and tactics, so maybe with some luck I could have pulled through, but indeed this line-up was destined to fail. I knew thursday by the time it was 19:10 and my interent was still down that all was lost.

Well, okay, shit happens. Maybe some season it might work again. I guess now Belgium's top 3 teams can focus on the championship.

Look at it on the positive side: more chance for the other teams to win the cup now. ;)

Im starting to ejoy the cup a bit more and Im happy there is a thing like the cup since the regular competition is a bit boring if you got a team like ventola in your league :D yet finding the balance between regular competition, cup and training objectives aint easy.

I should be able to get into the playoff but I probably wont if I focusing on the cup. Going for 1/8 finals at least. Hope Im a bit lucky with the opponents. Dont want to meet ventola any time soon :p
