I was wondering if anyone else is having problems to get their players on a 8+ gameshape?

I am not doing anything diffrent than the last couple of seasons, but i havent managed to get my whole team on 8+ yet in this season (i do sometimes force one player to get the 48mins on a strange position, hence he wont be in shape, but other than that..).

Especially my swiss NT player Timo Heigel has had between 58-65 minutes for the past 4 weeks and never got over 8. I might actually try giving him 70-80 minuntes next week, since the old ~60min is best rule doesn't seem to apply lately.

i can say that big random i in gameshapes. it is hard to predict how much minutes my player need to remain at certain gs or to pop up. stamina of course does matter in gs too.

some time ago,for 3 weeks in a row my players who get 60 - 65 minutes all stayed at lvl7 GS. to maintain lvl8 GS usually is not hard, but to get lvl9 it is hard enough. thats why i say there are big random thing there.
once i got 65 minutes for 2 players with different stamina - both stayed lvl8
i remember when my player with some 74 or a bit more minutes got GS from lvl8 to lvl9, although he played heavy minutes earlier weeks.
if random would not be big, then we would have some kind of chart or something, like it is with training, but we dont have one, we just know that usually about 63-69 minutes player have best chances to get from lvl8 to lvl9 GS.

55-60, even it up to 70 minutes make sense to play with less but more quality players ;)

i have missed that chart. but for me there still is big random because it is not easy to get players into those minutes and even i get into those 15min (55-70) i have no guarantee that my player will get better GS (i mean from lvl8 to 9).
maybe i will make table from my players (i keep screenshots with training and gameshape/minutes table)

Is it harder to maintain GS as you rise in League level?

Sitting here in V, I have 12 of 13 players at 8 or 9, including one who has only 1 min this week.

I don't see how what league your in has any effect. 12 or 13 i think is too many to control ive only been playing 10 or 11 and its much easier to get them the right minutes to maintain strong and proficient game shape. This general plan usally gets me about the right minutes:

Game 1:Best starting 5, 5 Backups
Game 2:Best starting 5, 5 Backups
Game 3: The backups from the first 2 games start and possibly play the full game depending on how mnay minutes have been played so far.

My trainees are on a slighty different plan then that. You can do anything in the scrimmage though if u think your Centre needs a few more minutes u could have him as your backup PG in the scrimmage. You should be able to get most of your players between 48-70 minutes doing this.

that's the crazy thing about timo heigel.. staying on lvl8 GS for 3 weeks with ~58mins played (in other words perfect minutes).
