Ok, people have been posting cases of this happening quite often.

Now I can confirm with 100% certainty because it happened to me once again, and this time I am 100% sure my lineup was not followed.

I set up Ralfo Leal as starting PF and Daniele Garbarino as backup, but the game started with th eoposite (Garbarino as starter and Ralfo coming from the bench).

I don't care if the game or the coach thinks that Garbarino is better PF than Ralfo. Ralfo is my Defense especialist and I wanted him to start !

I think this part of the game engine code should be fixed ASAP!

I set up Denver Vanhorn as my starting SG against Duk's Jumpers - (552873). He didn't even play in the game.

I wasn't aware of any injury. I am sure that he was my starting SG because if I go to set orders now, I can set the same orders as I did in that game, and he's listed as the starting SG, backup PG, and reserve SG.

Weird...

Let coach decide, but that's the SUBSTITUTIONS STRATEGY.

The coach has to at least start the correct players that I set up.

Because the game engine formula gives a higher modifier to the starter than to the backup when it has to decide the substitutions, so it cannot change who is the starter...

I thought LCD ignores the depth chart and allows the coach to pick from the 12 or so players you selected. Otherwise, what's the point of "coach picks from depth chart"? The rules seem to back this up too.

nope. that's not true.

The coach does not ignore your depth chart.

On LCD he just has more freedom than on strickly follow. And coach picks is like a midway between these two.

But he still should respect my starters. It has always been like that, except for these few bugged games.

I'll look into this...

we wanted to do an altered checksubs at the start of the game in order to take out lucky fans that might have been starting (say if you tried to start in injured player) but it wasn't suppose to change legit starters...

i will take a closer examination of this start of the game sub check as this is the likely source of any problem in this area.
