i'll start this off by saying everygame for the rest of the season for me is must win if i am to get to the playoffs.

two games from now i play a very strong team that relies on shooters. they push the ball and use man to man offense every game. im thinking of doing a 3-2 zone with a low post offense as ive two good big men. is this the best idea? to try and slow down their pace? or should i perhaps just run with them and try to outscore them? i dont know if id succeed at outscoring them

answer depends of you players of course...if you have better players at PF and C in comparison to PG and SG then you should play 3-2 as defensive and low post as offensive choice...

also, you should try to play TIE against weakest opponents and to crunch against him...if you are sure in victory with TIE against weaker opponents.

That'll be hard to do if all three remaining games are must-win.

If it's not relevant to the topic, you do need to create a new thread.

errrr... this could be tricky as i dont have a lineup full of ball handlers. i have one superb point guard and a serviceable back up. i have a 3 really strong small forwards with decent defense outside and in. i think my shooting guards are alright but not exactly what i need. so ill start the two points and hope that the 3 spot doesnt hurt too much. my interior should be solid with the 2-3 like you say. thanks a lot guys, wish me luck...

indeed, therefor I'd opt for playing 'normal' against the 2 weakest and CT against the strongest team.
If you can't beat the weaker with normal, you wouldn't be able to get the job done anyway since playing CT three times will almost certainly loose you a game as well...

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

In response to the original question posted, I have some anecdotal information. I played Slovenia in a scrimmage last night. He used Push the Ball and I, thinking he might, used 3-2 zone. He won the game 105-80. Granted, my NT is Thailand and we are very weak, with only 8 active teams from which to draw, but still losing by 25 suggests that 3-2 zone against Push the Ball might not always (or ever) be the way to go.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.
