There's a fantastic thread about this on the USA NT forum:

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke
Charles: Penn has some good people
A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

say, despite the fact that i am an NT manager of another country, as England and the US will not be playing a competitive match under my tenure, would there be any objections to me joining that forum? I'd like to see what this fantastic thread has to offer.

It's just a bunch of hacks rambling on...clearly they don't grasp the brilliance of my "seat of the pants" method.

Is this the John Amaechi method?

yourmomma posted an outside skill rotation, I think.

I've posted my rotation here many times, no secrets:

2 weeks Inside Shot
2 weeks Inside Defense
2 weeks Rebounding
2 weeks Shot Blocking
1 week Stamina/Free Throws (usually Stamina)

It can be considered defensive in a way, but I strongly believe in balanced training - that's what you need to have to get the most out of your training.

I don't allow myself to be held hostage to pops. If a guy doesn't pop after two weeks, oh well, we move on to the next skill.

Right now I'm planning on doing an outside rotation like this:

4 wks - jump shot
4 wks - jump range
4 wks - outside defense

then the three off weeks I'll do free throws and stamina

then i'll do another rotation for the next season of:

4 wks - handling
4 wks - driving
4 wks - passing

So I guess it's actually a 2 season rotation. Does that look ok to anyone? Or is it rediculously unpractical? Do I need to shorten the rotations down to less than 4 weeks for each skill?

I think you're better off with 2 weeks for each skill.

Remember that the goal isn't just to get pops, as every training raises that player's skill.

hum...so then i would be able to do all 6 skills in one season right? Or should i not count the playoffs as part of the training time?
