(7877)Sorry about the lack of updates lads! It's been nuts for me IRL recently, although I have managed to set the line-ups!
So, this game. Paraguay, ranked 9 places above us in the rankings, was always going to be tough. We've taken some tough losses recently and this was always going to be close.
We started strong though, and convincingly outplayed them in the 1st half to take a 12 point lead. The 2nd half was closer and we had to hold off a terrifing comeback in the 4th q. Turns out they CT'd us but we got away with it playing a run'n'gun against theier 2-3 defence, and matching thier motion with a 3-2 zone.
Kinneson, and Bucky put in strong performances but MVP for the night was MacMichael who, in his 1st start in a while, dominated the boards and finished with 26 points.
So, amazingly, we're in the qualification spots for the Consolation Tourney (or whatever it's called) with the best points differential of all teams with a 4-3 record. We've got (the 33rd ranked) Ukraine last, and we're big underdogs. But who know's what might happen!
