I'm just wondering if it is possible to bid more money than you have?

e.g. I only have 400k and the guy I want is 450k so if my bid is successfully I would be 50k in the red. (which is fine as I am happy to pay interest payments and I would be back above the line when I have my next home game)

Is this possible?? I don't want to try it unless I am sure.

No. You will get a message that you don't have enough funds to make the bid.

This rule is not good at all.
I "lost" a few players because I didn't had few more thousand.
If I can go into debt, why I can't bid over my funds?!

if you could bet on players and go 100k into the depth you will miss some transfer who bring you 150k into the depth. So in the end you only has a sligthly different price range.

Actually, there is a way, sorta....

IF you have a player on the transfer list WITH a bid on him, you can bid up to the amount you have on hand plus the amount of the bid on your player

For instance, I currently have $12,650 in cash, yet I just bid $18,000 on a player because I have a player on the TL with a $43,350 on him. So, right now, I can go as high as $56,000 with my current bid and more if the bid goes up on my player.

EDIT: Just for clarification, the actual bid on my player is $52,000. The $43.350 is what I get after the taxes are accessed, and that is the amount shown on my
Manage Team page.
