Hey there guys, I was wondering if organizing scrimmages against superior teams have in any way highly affect experience? I'm already aware of the fact that close games do this, but I was wondering if pitting young teams against Div I studs have similar or greater effects. Realistically speaking, it definitely does, seeing the success of Ricky Rubio and recently, Brandon Jennings. Does that follow in the game too?

Im pretty sure both of those scenarios have no relation to experience in bb. Scrimmages are just a way to get extra minutes on the court.

i will not be sure that the post from forest eman that, it was just an explanation for random start of the xp skill independent from age with a RL comparision not a ingame one. Even superior teams seems to have a pretty normal XP gain, in my eyes even when i hadn#t that much data for it.

but I was wondering if pitting young teams against Div I studs have similar or greater effects.

so i would go for the same effect

I don't think playing against better opponents increases experience.(and for some reason I remember reading that only competitive games count towards experience, and if that's the case then it certainly doesn't matter who you scrimage against in terms of experience) You should try to scrimmage against opponents close to your skill so that you dont get blown our or blow out the other team because blow outs mess up your training and game shape minute management.

Just highlighting this so it stands out a little more:

Does anybody know if this is true?

Scrimmages count towards exp. 100% sure.

Also, just giving a player minutes isn't enough. You have to feature the player in some way, too. They have to be productive minutes to work best.
