Hello guys

I am baffled once again with the GE and the coach decisions. We were heavilt outscored first quarter and managed to get back into the game.

5 minutes to play and we are 10 points behind. guess what. only 1 time out used during the whole game. Really unreal and incredible. I know it is very difficult to program and I am surely not a bad looser, but this is too unreal...

Secondly, we are playing a motion attack. We have very high skilled jump shot players on the court and we shoot 25 3 pointers off which we hit 7... extremely disappointing. if i want loads off 3 pointers i will pick run and gun, thats what it says, when i want many jump shots i pick motion...

I really dont know what else to do, tactics wise and it has become awfully quiet, on this forum and on the federation i created.

I cant do this alone, without ideas etc from the rest...

So come on english community, start joining in!!!!

Moominpapa

ps LOL with 52 seconds left and being 9 points behind the coach finally called a full time out... just seconds after I posted this message...

I am looking at the game stats. and please anyone explain this to me, austria was playing run and gun and shoots 18 times from outside the perimeter, we play motion and we shoot 32 times from outside the perimeter. Why?? I really dont get that. I have been trying to understand for 2 years now and I cant find the answer...

I don't think there's much to choose between motion and R&G for percentage of outside shots, but the game does adjust shooting tactics to take account of the defensive matchups, so maybe our guys were better at jump range than the Austrians? Or their defence was more inside focus so forcing us to shoot from further out? Just guesses really...

As for the community, dabomby and I have been using the in-game chat the last couple of domestic league matches. It's actually quite a cool feature, and a real shame that more people in England don't use it - it's easy, and it's right there when you're watching your own team's game, so it doesn't require a special effort or anything.

How about we make a plan for us all to be in the chat for 'England' during next Saturday night's round of domestic fixtures. We can at least chat a little while we watch our game, and maybe a few newbie managers will drop in, and we can be sociable with them? That might be a mechanism to create a little more community around the England set-up?

Good idea. I might try that if I'm around.

Chatting during the games is great! Unfortunately in the last few wks I've always been busy during the games... Hopefully that will change!
