Why do some shooting guards/small forwards with wondrous JS AND JR HAV 0.3% field goals while some with strong JS/JR can hav field goals up to 0.5%? And I'm talking about players in the same league (maybe the same team) and comparing both with at least few hundreds attempted.

Please don't use all caps, thanks.

It depends on a lot of factors. First off would be the secondary skills, hows their driving, their handling? Stamina and Game Shape Play Into it. Are they the lone stars on their team? Kobe Bryant playing on a team of 10 year olds vs the NBA would shoot a lot worse than he does while on the Lakers. Inside Shot also plays a factor on some of the shots depending on what kind pf offense is being played.

Point is Wondrous JS/JR alone doesn't mean a High FG %. Same as throwing a baseball 100mph doesn't mean you can pitch a shutout in the MLB. Its one of the tools but not the complete set.

Banking off your post, I'd have to say that a lot of it also depends on the tactics.

Run-N-Gun for example creates jump shots at a high rate and needs your shooters to have good driving as well. I've noticed that I don't get a whole lot of assists in the RnG despite having an all-star caliber point guard. With that in mind, driving enables a player to create their own shot and in the RnG, you need your wingmen to be able to create their own shots.

Lowe stamina equates to poorer attempts. Lower game shape equates to playing at lower levels. I like to think that at the highest level for game shape, the more closely your players play to their actual level.

As far as the Kobe on a team of 10-year olds, I think Kobe would dominate. Just sayin', ya know. ;) FYI, I do get your point, lol.

Speaking of secondary skills, is there a thread that discusses these for each position and relative to the offensive scheme?

can i ask if theres like a hidden attribute then a 2 different players with exactly the same attributes but 1 has a hidden talent that he has a very high chance of scoring while another does not? like in real life where some kids have the natural ability to be very accurate in shooting the basketball while the other one has shooting like shaq?

Of Course you can ask.

We know there is a hidden attribute which factors into fouls, whether or not there is one that makes players shoot more often I do not know. I do not however think there is an attribute that just makes a player a better shooter other than the stats we do see.

Another thing when your buying players you shouldn't be influenced by their stats as the league they are playing in might be a relatively easier one then yours.

i do look that the leagues..i found 1 sf with 0.511 fg and his team is 10100 world rank so his league shuldnt be too lousy .. but sadly i lost the bid...

i would still forget about the stats, because they could vary with the lineup and tactics much.
