I already discussed this topic in the german help forums but want to get an answer from an offical.

I am playing the finals, won the first game and want lose the second game intentionally (=walkover) to get a third game that will be played in my stadium to get some extra cash + win the title at home.

Do I have to expect some negative consequences, like not being promoted?

Your training minutes wouldn't work out well.

Your opponent will hate you for messing up his training minutes.

Seriously, why not just field 3 crappy players? You are still guaranteed to lose.

Yeah, this is a douche bag move as you risk messing up the training of your opponent. I don't understand why you would do it at all.

I don't think he has to feel too sorry about the training minutes of a bot?

We have both said a lot of things that you are going to regret.

More money = better? That should really be all the justification he needs. Who cares what happens to your opponent? Does your team do better if his training minutes are better?

Hey - I'll be looking for a scrimmage next week - I would love to throw a walk-over and screw you over. It is not like I care about what happens to your team.

So, point taken, he is up against a bot. My point is there are other ways to lose a game than throwing a walk-over, even against a bot team.

Yeah u could always TIE. play players out of position, use your scrubs or use tactics totally unsuited to your team. Just play a Centre at PG/SG and have the team run and gun lol.

Of course there are other ways, but against a bot you may still win with your worst guys on the worst positions...

But it may really be better to try and lose the game without a walkover. I guess you don't receive ticket revenue for a walkover, do you?
So losing the game in a "normal" way would give you 1/3 of the 2nd game's revenue AND 2/3 of the money for the 3rd match.
With a walkover you may only get cash for the third match.
