Hi everybody,

I´d like to read your opinions about the best strategy against FCP.I usually play RG but I´m not sure if it´s better to change my attack strategy to motion when my team plays against an opponent with FCP as main defense.

Cheers

This question gets asked a lot and honestly, unless your team has terrible handling and passing (or your opponent has much, much better OD than you're used to) I don't really think you need to worry much about the full court press.

If you do have concerns then I think changing your personnel for the game may be more effective than changing your tactics. Just make sure your low handling/passing players are getting less time than your guys who can keep possession (and this goes for your bigs as well, although it's less of a concern for them). I would also consider looking at some of your opponents previous games and see if there are positions where they're consistently generating turnovers and adapt. But really, I haven't had a league game where an opponent has caused me trouble with a FCP and my team is not exactly jam packed full of talent.

I believe chris902 has it right. Just make sure you have your best Ball Handlers & Passers at the 1,2, & 3 positions. FCP is only really affective if the other team carriers good Stamina & usally has to be married with a slower paced Defense, otherwise the Tactic will undo itself, so they will have less shots, all be it better quality ones.

Right is not a popularity contest!
