I am very dissapointed and hope that the new Engine implemented
do not increase foul ratios too much for the exact same reason why NBA
these days is way more boring with alot more sissy fouls being called etc.

That being said is the GE calculations for foul ratios known to anyone?
how is fouls calculated by the Engine?

My last game was very very suprising, and unrealistic!
4 players fouled out 2 of them being my best defenders
on top of that, another 2 almost fouled out, one being my best defender as well
(http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/18365937/boxscore.aspx)
If it helps my oppnent for that game put more effort than I did.

I am just tottally lost. /help ?

So no one has any opinions on how fouls are calculated by the engine?
or any advices how to avoid fouls per game? I do not mind loosing games
but I do mind the unrealistic number of fouls commited in a certain game.
It is not basketball anymore for me, having 4 players foul out,
and on top of those 4 an additional 2 almost fouling out.

I understand NBA's approach to implementing more fouls ( A lot more fouls)
To protect players from getting injured those who are being payed millions
But if you ask any basketball anlyst they would agree that this made the NBA
alot more boring.

But now I dont see why BB has to impement more fouls with the new engine
maybe to protect virtual players from getting injured? (/wrist)
why not increase defense, and steal/ turnover ratios instead of fouls?

Players got a hidden physical skill. This means some players are more aggressive than others, thus tend to make more fouls per game.

I don't think any change was made regarding fouls distribution recently, although I'm not 100% sure. I didn't see any change for my team, but maybe this is because I scout players at this 'aggressive' component. If I see a player with a great skillset averaging 3.0 PF/G I won't buy him unless I absolutely have to.

Some people also think having a better defense, and a better stamina, reduces the amount of PF per player. So you could try one of these three things to improve, and see if it has a good result.

Thank you, I will keep those things in mind and try to scout players from now on
with that " hidden set of skills " and I will also try stamina theory.

tho in that game where I had foul troubles , those players that was fouled out
or almost fouled out is my best defensive players, so if having a good defensive skill
do affect foul troubles it did not affect much during that match.-
plus if it helps, not all of them has had foul troubles earlier

as for the engine, I personally dont think that palyers Foul per game ratio was changed
what changed was how a defense reacts to a better offense??
the main intention was to increase the value of passing and handling skills (of some sort)?
so a PG with weak handling and passing skills will lead to more turnovers and such
while a better offense causes the defense more foul troubles instead of just scoring at will
I tho am not 100% next time you face a better offense than you're defense can handle
please do pay attention to the fouls called during that game.

On the upside these players are get fouled more and take more free throws. They also seem to cause more injuries to opposing players.

Depends on the player, who they are matched up against, what position they play, how many shooting fouls they give up. Too many variables to say that for sure.

i see it differently, my fouling player draw few fouls, and my not fouling players don't astart with it against a bad guy ;) The draw foul effekt is in my eyes pretty low.

a BB has actually stated semi-officially (I think somewhere in the forum) that there is "the fouling" attribute is actually a "physicality" attribute.

In the light of this, it is probably not true that a fouling player will commit more fouls than he draws. What we call a "fouling player" is just a player that is involved more frequently in physical plays (either on the "making" or "receiving" end)

i know that they stated it, but they didn't stated that they raise the chnche to make and get fouls at the same percentage ;) So if a player make 3 additional fouls through his physicality and draws one extra foul, he makes more then he get and for me this seems to be the case, because my physical (ex)player often get foul trouble, and their matchups rarely

I'm sorry to dig this up but fouling is getting really insane! To give up every game 20-40 free throws just isn't normal. Look at my last games and don't start again with a cliche that all your players have hidden physical skill:)
