Higher level doctors heal players that are currently injured faster (although not much faster). The main reason for a doctor is to prevent/minimise the injury in the first place. Once the player is injured, if you buy a doctor after that, the healing time will be shortened, but only by a very very very small amount.

I employed a level 6 (exceptional, without specialty) doctor at the beginning of this season, but i still have two players getting 2 weeks injuries these days, i cannot see the rehabilitation being shortened.

By comparing with your case, maybe the difference between level 1 & level 6 doctor is just 1 week rehabilitation time.

Maybe you are being a little bit generous on that one.

I have never heard this before. I've been operating under the assumption (based on what the BBs have said in the past) that changing doctors after an injury will have no effect what-so-ever on healing time.

I can't remember exactly where it says this, but it is definitely true. If a GM or someone else can confirm this for me that would be good.
Cheers

I can tell you for sure that it's true. I am not going to look for a link, but this comes from a BB.

GM at the bottom seems to think/know that healing time is reduced by higher level doctors. Which is what I said.
And as the Mod underneath the GM stated, just like I stated, the effect is very low.

Maybe I am reading it wrong (and that's a strong possibility), but nothing in that thread talks about the effect of buying a new doctor after an injury already took place.

What's your point. Nobody ever sad the effect was huge. The exact words are "very, very small amount". Frankly, I don't understand at all what you are arguing about. Not to mention it's in the rules to begin with.
