I think you should be able to change your team name for free during the first 2 weeks of joining this game. I've noticed a lot of people on the forums mention that they have to change their name due to a spelling mistake etc. I think this 2 week window would allow new players to change their name without having to wait until the end of the season and then spend 100k to change it.

I disagree. Then we have a lot of "new" clubs daily all the time in the low divisions...
Is it so incredibly hard to spell your name when registering? I think for a normal person no...

Well make it that you can change it in the first day or something. haha I agree you should just spell things correctly, but I just happened to notice people saying that they had to put an extra 't' or and extra apostrophe in their name. Having that 1 day window would just give them a chance to fix stupid mistakes.

Typos occure when you sign up, just for signing up. You can not make a typo if you care about the thing you are signing up to (you tend to recheck a few times for correct info). So if you have hastedly created an account you should pay for the team name change.

I understand what you are saying, but most people that start playing this game don't know too much about it, so don't "take care" when they sign up and so quite often typos are made because they just want to get the introductory stuff out of the way and see what the game is about. Once they start playing, then they start caring, not the other way around.

Perhaps it's a good lesson, to take signups a little more seriously. Perhaps that's just me but I rather waste extra 3 minutes to make sure I do not make typos when signing up:)

I think it should exist at least a warning sign like "Take care when chosing the name of your team, further changes are not allowed often and are not cheap - be aware of bad spelling and be sure that team names 100% made of lower cases are what you really want. Would you prefer your team named 'chicago lakers' or 'Chicago Lakers'?"

I personally had an issue with that, when I signed up I chose a name entirely on lower cases and that really pissed me off later... I had to spend 100k to change that and that's not funny...

I guess this fee of 100k is a reason to watch twice.

But you're not really wrong, anyway. I'd apreciate a warning like that!
