Ok I didn't think this was going to be an issue that I would need to think about but now it is. Today's game, tuesdays and thursdays scrimmage all contribute minutes to the last training session of the season on friday night.

What about game 2 and (if needed) game 3? There is a season reset on monday 22nd then a scrimmage on thursday and training bumps on the friday. Do those two finals games count towards next seasons training?

Very excited to be asking such a question. :)

Yeah that's also something I'm interested in :P. I believe that if you play game 3 of the finals then that week is a normal 3-game week (please correct me if I'm wrong), so those minutes count for the first week of training of the new season. Plus, given there is a game shape reset, playing 3 games allows you to distribute the minutes better, so your game shape will probably increase faster

Next Saturday everyone gets a game whether a finals game or an organised scrimmage. The only teams that get games on Sunday will be those involved in Game 3 of the league playoff series. Everyone can organise a scrimmage for the following Thursday. Training occurs as normal on Friday so most people will have 2 games for training minutes that week, the Saturday game and the Thursday scrimmage.

No, the minutes from the finals won't count. The first week every team can arrange a scrimmage. Only those minutes will be counted for Friday's training. That's why most of the teams train Free Throws or Stamina the first week of the season.
I remember having this problem when promoting from V to IV and I trained Stamina...

just to take away all doughts, i have played 3rd games on sunday's already, and (as Lawrence mentioned) they do count for training minutes...

but unless you are 100% sure you can beat your opponent, i'd advise to try and finish it in 2 games... cause if one of your starters, who you would set as back up in game 2, gets injured, then you might suddenly find yourself in trouble... especially if it's your star player... you don't want to lose a PO serie's cause your star player gets injured in game 2, and that without him, the opponent proves to be strong in game 3 (injuries are never welcome, but during PO's, they really can change the whole outcome... theirfor, i preer to finish it in 2 games whenever i can)

this was just to tell you that playing a 3rd game involves certain risks, but the advantages are that you can get extra stadium income and extra training minutes.

but to answer the original question: the minutes do count for training.
