sadly and unexpectedly i was knocked out of the playoffs last night and now i need to rethink my training

i will only have 2 games this week so conventional wisdom says do stamina or free throws

my stamina is ok and my free throws are good

my rebounding however is bad
sure some of my big guys are strong but my guards are really bad and this does hurt me

everyone says team training is bad why?

i cant say i will be really excited to see half my team go from average to respectable in stamina but if a few of my key guards can pop from inept to mediocre i would be pleased and if even one big guy went from strong to proficient it would be awesome

the core of my team are all around 21 so not super young but not really old except for a couple of guys who really dont matter

with the scrimmage i could aim to get almost everyone around 48 minutes so how many pops could i hope for

is this a crazy idea or a good one

feedback is greatly desired

I would prefer to train rebounding for just my bigs and choose the 4 players I want trained most, and since the games won't mean anything, having my guards play PF/C won't matter

problem is the more players you train the more spread out the training is, as you probably know.

If the players you are training are young and tall enough, sure some of them will experience pops but to be honest if you are training 5 positions, 10 players all at around 48 minutes, depending on sublevels i think you would be lucky to see 3 pops!

But remember that even if you dont get a pop the skill still improves. You know your team better than anyone else and so you can decide whats best for it.

choose two of your guards who would benefit the most from rebound training, preferably your starting guards

and play them for 48 mins in C and PF positions. then do 2 postion rebound training for PF/C.

and the C and PF who played in the previous game will get some training too.

thats prolly the most efficient way to improve your team.
