I have a few questions regarding the planned technology upgrades mentioned in the latest news post. These pertain not so much to the upgrades themselves, but to how they will affect the site next week.

1. When will we know for certain if the upgrades will cause a delay in offseason processing?

2. Assuming that delays do result, will all technology upgrades happen at once and we get everything at the same pace we would but just a day or two later; or will the updates and processing be staggered so for example we get the draft, wait a while, get the salary updates, wait a while, get promoted/demoted?

3. The possibility of downtime is mentioned. How will this affect the transfer market? I'm planning on listing a couple of my best players Thursday night/Friday morning so they'll sell soon after the third (if necessary) finals game and I can have as long as possible before Season 12 begins to shop for replacements. Should I hold off on this until I know the auction end time will be when the site is more stable?

4. Is it safe to assume that regardless of the status of the technology upgrades, all offseason processing will be completed in plenty of time to prepare for the first game of the new season on March 27?

Any answers that can be provided by a GM or BB are greatly appreciated. Any speculation provided by those who know nothing more than I do will result in an eye roll.

Hi,

Sorry for the late response here, our goal is to not have any delays here, but we really can predict yet how long the upgrades will take. So it may be that there won't be any delays at all, that's what we are aiming for, but we don't know untill we are upgrading ;).

If there is a delay, we will run all the other updates in succession where possible, without any delays between the different steps.

In the case of a downtime, transfers will be frozen and the deadline will be moved forward. No transfer will end during a downtime, they will also be delayed.

And yes, we sure hope and expect all offseason processing will be completed soon enough to give you enough time to prepare for the new season.
