A fair bit. If I were you I would make him into a small forward. If he is a centre now then he probably has good inside skills already, so start training his outside skills and these will train quickly and will make him a nice SF.

but i have another player on my team that im also training that is a centre and he's 7' however he only has star potential, what should i do with him? he is already quite good for my division with strong rebounding and inside shot and prolific inside defence and also the HOF potential guy has rubbish outside stats

if you make the first guy small forward then you should be equally training his big man and guard skills. So in the weeks you play him as center for training bigman skills your 7"0 center wiull also get training and progress somewhat.

To give you a good indication of what to do you would need to copy and paste the players skills and age here if you don't mind. If you don't want to do that, all I can say is that the HOF guy will train his outside stats quickly (you can get a lot more pops in guard skills than inside skills in a season)

Train Outside Defence until Respectable.
Train Jump Shot until Respectable.
Train one-on-one until Handling and Driving are both at Respectable.
Train Jump Range to Respectable.
Train Inside Defence to Respectable.
I would sell your other trainee (the 19 year old) and buy an older center with just as good stats. This way you can concentrate on training the 18 year old.
However, if the 18 year old you posted is about to turn 19 (which I suspect he is) I would sell them both, and buy 2 new 18 year old trainees (or hope you get lucky in this draft).

Are you kidding me? Training OD from atrocious would be SUICIDE! OD is one of the slowest training skills, if you tried training him for an entire season doing only OD training, it would probably only get to respectable.

Yes, that is why I said to sell them both. If the player was still 18 then it still wouldn't be great, but it would train quickly and his other stats are still good and his height means it would train quicker.
But ideally, sell them both.
