The transition from IV to III is nearly impossible for newcomers. Unless you luck out and get some crappy III league, you will be run over. These guys have back ups better than my starters. Easy to do when they have been in III before I even made my account. And the lofty promotion sum sure helps, all 300,000 of it. -_-

I strongly disagree. I went from Div IV to D.III and made the semifinals in a league that was no slouch. It all depends on how you have developed your team and players. Its not meant to be easy to move up quickly, but if your eyes on the long term goal you'll make it.

It's easier when your league is crap. There is a few III's around that are pretty manageable. Unfortunately, my league has like 3 guys in my division who have been in the league since Season 8. A team that has been playing since Season 5. And a team that has been kicked from your league and is back in III again.

There will always be a demotee from D2 in your league and usually a number of "old" teams. There are a couple easy and hard D3's, but NONE of them are impossible.

Maybe you should try a $1500 PG for one game and see how you do? Thats my world.

i would not say it's impossible, hard yes but not impossible. i aint the best manager out there but a lil scouting of opponents and going in with a plan can help you stay in the league or division i should say. when i got into div 3 in season 9 i thought i was screwed, but did fairly well and considering i sold all of my players half way through ( what was i thinkin) and have now been in div 3 for 3 seasons now and going on my 4th. also i just lost to a promotee 80-68. so i say again it's hard yes but not impossible.

go mama kitty 7- 19-10

It's definitely not easy... but I think that's the point of a manager game. I feel like I've done a somewhat decent job managing my team after I figured out the ropes of BB a season or so into it. I promoted to D3 once before, lost the first game or two, decided to sell all of my non-trainee players (blew the team up), put it all down on better trainees, and now I feel like I'm in a position to compete in D3 two seasons later.
