First, don't go by the ratings, they're probably going to get rid of them. Instead, look at the box score.

I'd say you lost because you lost because of your/his guards. His two guards scored 39 and 25 points, and nailed a ton of three pointers - check your outside defense on the guards you started, if it's really low, that might explain how many got so many high quality shots.

Also, you got outrebounded 49 to 35, which is pretty significant. That led to him taking more shots than you (86 to 78).

On the bright side, you kept it close with your free throws, which were much better than his.

If they expected to win by a very comfortable margin, then there is no reason not to TIE.

However, playing TIE on the road is asking for trouble, regardless.

There is something I just don´t get...I`ve played 3 matches against teams that use Base Offense and Man to Man defense...those 3 rivals just using the players they received when they started the games make surprisinlgy high Coaching Rates using those standard tactics for defense and offense. All three of the, got between 16 and 17 in Coach Rate. I just don´t get it. Some idea?...is Coach Rates THAT determinant?, because I almost won every other aspect of the game.

Coaching rating is extremely high when you choose Let Coach Decide and have defence and offence tactics that are effective against your opponent. If they have LCD set with Base Offense and Man to Man then they will get a high coaching rating.

The way you beat this is to look how the team scores, using the box score or the match viewer.

If they are scoring inside then put 2-3 Zone as your defense and put strong inside defenders playing as your center and power forward.

The ratings at the moment don't accurately reflect team performance. From what I have heard there is a new ratings page being worked on.
