Hey all,

I am a bit confused and needs some input -

When I setup my teams for matches I set backup players and also reserves. I set the substitutes to be run from the Depth chart.

What I get is that even though I set the backups and reserves to be used, some players still don't make onto the court and therefore I lose training due to lack of minutes per week.

Am I missing the details or am I doing it wrong?

I sometimes play players out of their best position as to fill out the minutes for training per week but it seems the coach overrides my selection regardless when I force him to use the Depth Chart.

Please advise.

About the only time Reserves ever get used is if due to injury or foul trouble. Or in rare cases a complete blowout. If you select depth chart, I think that means he only chooses players from the depth chart, but the coach may move the positions around as he sees fit, only way I know to make sure that doesn't happen is to use Strictly follow Depth chart.
This is from what I understand, someone more experienced will probably be more educated.

rule 1 don't expect the reserves to play

rule 2 if setting reserves in a training position make sure that if they do play it will be ok with you

rule 3 if you really want just the starter and bckup playing set one of them as the reserve too and only dress 10 guys for the game
