hi all,

as i promised Joe last season, i'll be making a recap of each NT game this year (aslong as it doesn't interfere with my exam period). After each game their will be a sumary in english. After plural matches, their will b a sumary in English, Nederlands and Francais.

our first game of the campaign in season 12 is against Mexico. Mexico is known for their hugh Centre Cárdenas, who currently the 4th highest salary of all the BB players (with a weekly salary of $543542, you can expect nothing else than true hell of this player). futher more, when looking at the PG's and the SG's, it was a no-brain to go with the Motion. And the 3-2 was chosen because of various reason, of which the most important one being the fact that we lost each season opening game last season due to the hugh ammount of 3's that were drained.

The Belgian NT started out very well this time. In less than 4 minutes, we were up by 6-0 (baskets made by Gilmont, Reyngoudt and Dorchain. After that, the lead would continue to grow. The first Q would end giving the Belgian NT a lead of 10 points going into the 2nd Q (26-16). The 2nd Q would be the same as the first Q. Belgian NT kept draining their buckets. Back-up Leonard Wilczynski (SG from Seatle Super Sonics, BBBL) made us think of LoD's SG Siontis in the B3 tournament, by knocking down 4 (almost all consectutive) 3 point shots, adding 12 to the Belgian total in 3 minutes time. The second Q would end with Mexican SG Galindo picking up his 4th PF. The Belgians won that Q aswell by 36 to 21.

After the half time, the Mexicans came out of the changing rooms, clearingly looking to start a comeback. The Belgian offense didn't get going like in the previous 2 Q's and so the Mexicans lead by 13 to 5 only after 5 minutes of play in the 3rd Q. then all of a sudden, Galindo picked up his 5th faul, and the Mexican offense machine seemed halted... And the Belgian offense started stroking again. They wasted no time to make up the 8 point deficit and tied the score at 21-21 with 2:48 left on the clock in Q3. Mexicains were having a hard time with the Belgians, and kept fauling. With 1:06 left on the clock, Mexican SG Galindo made his 6th faul and was ejected from the game. The 3rd Q would end in a 26-25 advantage for the Belgians. And the Belgians had no intension what so ever to let the Mexicans win a single Quarter. In Q4, the Belgian bench (Roose- Wilczynski - Delaere - Van Gent - Francaart) were fielded. The first 5 shots would be drained, and which would give the Belgians a 10-4 early lead, which they would never give up. Even reserved SF De Ceulaer would get some playing time, as the Belgians powered to a 31-25 win in Q4. Thus Belgian NT won all the quarters, and won with a final score of 119-87.

What greatly contribuated to our win, was the great benchproduction(65 points from the bench!) that we had. All time leading scoorder was Back-up PF Van Gent who was 10-12 from the floor, and sunk all of his 6 FT's to have a grant total of 26 points. He also added 15 boards for his large DD (Double Double).

The Belgian Nt is pleased with this win, because we only gave ourselves a 60% chance to win the game. Next game will be in and agaisnt Israel, a game which most likely will be lost (due to the HCA of the Israelian team).

your NT reporter,

Revo

May I be so bold to ask, which 5 nations you think are the best nations in the consolation tournament?

I guess Lietuva, Schweiz, Israel, Poland and...???

not much to say about the game against Israel, we wanted to try and limit the ammount of points we had to give up, yet it didn't go all to well.

as from next game their will be a new coverage of the NT games weekly. i am very bussy this week.
