Well, I'm playing a team that always plays 1-3-1. My outside shooting is always at least mediocre on the game ratings and the rest of my skills are usually inept and awful. I was thinking princeton, so that I could keep my outside shooting up there, and my inside scoring is alright. Does that sound like a smart idea or is there something better I could use?

An inside tactic like Look Inside or Low Post is your best bet.

1-3-1 dramatically increases OD at the expense of ID and rebounds so you can exploit that weakness

Thanks, but like I said my inside scoring isn't the best. Would princeton work seeing as it focuses on inside and outside?

Make sure your forwards can pass if you are going to do that.

Maybe a neutral offense like push the ball would be better.

You would know your players best but for Princeton to be successful you need:

1. Good passers for all positions
2. Your shooters have good Jump Range as they are looking for 3 Pt shots a lot.

As Princeton is still a sort of outside orientated tactic, his 1-3-1 would still be able to shut you down quite a bit.

If you go Princeton I'm willing to bet money that you lose. The 1-3-1 will smother your outside attack leaving you with a half hearted attempted at making layups. Princeton aslo seems to work better in the higher leagues where you have multidimensional more talented players and seems to fail in the lower leagues. If you want to win I'd try LI or Base for your best chances.

Play whatever you want but I advise you to play an Outside tactic because his Outisde Defense is only inept and you said you can reach to mediocre so.. I would go for it.
