Hifolks,

Pleae help.

In my current game I am winning in a blowout. My big trainee centre has been subed out and isn`t playing any minutes in the fourth quarter which means that he won`t be getting his training minutes. Despite me selecting him to play the whole game and selecting follow depth chart strictly. This is the second time in two weeks this has happened meaning that two of my big three trainees are missing their training minutes.

Can I stop this from happening because my bigs aren`t getting their minutes?

I hope that you can help, many thanks.

Scipio.

Hi Scipio

may have something to do with stamina - if he has bad stamina then he physically might not last for 48 mins - I had the same problem you end up with odd training minutes for players playing out of position. It is difficult to get 48 mins for all 3 players each week.

hope this helps - I am by no way an expert but sure I read this previously!

cheers

Thanks for the reply.

I think you may be right. That really scews up my plans. Two of my young trainee Cs have atrocious stamina which if you`re right will really screw up my training programme. I will have to sell them and buy two more because if they can`t play 48 minutes then they are useless to me.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

Fortunately when I do need do train Pressure, I have no problem having all my trainees to have 48 min. Maybe you should choose Follow Strickly Formation (something like this) so your coach doesn't mess up your minutes.

The same thing happened to me 2 seasons ago. I drafted an 18 y/o MVP with atrocious stamina.
You can:

1) Train stamina 1-2 weeks to bring him up to pitiful. This is of course will take 1-2 weeks off of your regular training regimen.
2) You can train 2 positions/5 players and play him in 2 games so he's sure to get 48+
3) Even with atrocious stamina, he won't get subbed out of EVERY game so you can just keep training him as is.

I did option 1 and I lost 1 week of training during the early season but I think it was worth it as it has never happened to that player again.

Well, your coach removes your players at the end of a blowout to prevent injuries. A technique that works well most of the time is to only keep on the active roster the players that are starting and the players that are playing backup.

For example, if you wanted two players to get 48 minutes, you would only field 8 players, 5 starters, and 3 subs not at the PF/C positions.

Hope this helps =]

The way to get 48 minutes for a guy is to:
1. Select strictly follow depth chart
2. Put the player in starter, backup and reserve slots
3. Ensure you do not have anyone unassigned to a position. If there is a blowout, the coach will try give these guy minutes and if this guy happens to be in the position of your trainee then he will sub your trainee off for this guy.

Don't forget to set "Let them Play" for foul trouble :P

and reserves also count as unassigned, if you want one player palying the full game just take 9 or less player to the game. That is the problem of the Thread startetr who plays with a full rooster.

Thanks for all of your replies.

I had two other centres unassigned and they both played. That is probably what happened. The coach took my 18yr trainee out in the fourth quarter of a blow out then shared his minutes with the other two Cs.

I will only assign the one centre in my matchday roster next time.

Many thanks for all of your help, much appreciated.
