Hi guys, just want to confirm a few things. My next cup opponent hasn't been active since March 10th, so there were 6 economic updates after that. I presume the team will go bot next monday. Am I right? He has some decent players that should hit the market as free agents. Does anyone know what exactly are the criteria for a player to become a free agent?

I think it's safe to say that everyone above 10k goes to free agency. But I bought a 8.5k FA last season and there are some in the TL with salaries under 10k. This opponent of mine has 4 players that will surely become FA, but then has 2 between 8 and 10k, so I was wondering if they would be left behind :P

I know I only have to wait until monday to find out, but knowing before saturday's game would allow me to plan the 3 weekly games

Lol. Yeah it would make sense for the salary requirements to depend on age. A 19 y.o. with an 8k salary is a good prospect, a 34 y.o. with an 8k salary has his expiration date approaching! Thanks for your thoughts. Cheers

I don't think it is age related. I think there is a straight cut off. So anything above that particular salary becomes a free agent and anything below doesn't.

My reason for thinking this is who is to say that an 8k 28 year old player with superstar potential shouldn't become a free agent if an 8k 19 year old with 6th man potential becomes a free agent.

It's also possible that the criteria isn't always the same. I say this because I bought an 8.5k salary guy last season. I went on to sell him later. His new team went bot early this season and he didn't go back to the TL

i have a question, 2 very good teams from our division was not inactive at least for 6 times but even though they became computer managed teams which was very surprising because the 2 both teams were converted instantly without them even abandoning their teams could anyone have any explanation for this? i am afraid that this could happen to my team, to be managed by a computer without me abandoning my team.

My understanding is that any player with salary over 10k becomes a free agent after their team goes bot. Also, any player on the NT or U21 team becomes a free agent as well, so if you have a good 8.5k 19 year old player on a team about to go bot, national team coaches may add them to their roster to save that good prospect from retiring, if he's 20 and still has 8.5k salary, he isn't really a good prospect anymore.
