this is a pretty obscure and unimportant problem:

i write a press release. post it. it gets posted to my team / home page, but never shows up in the league's announcements / headlines.

thus robbing my competitors of a chance to stay well informed.

Weird. It works for me now. Can you try with another press release? It might have been connected to the short downtime period. If you don't wanna change your press release, just post it again. Thanks.
