Does anyone know what are the criteria for your in-game coach to call a timeout? Because I'm only down by 6 with 2 minutes gone in the 2nd quarter and have already used 3 timeouts...

It seems as if they use timeouts in the beginning and middle of the game to 'stop runs'. So if your opponent has scored 3-5 baskets in a row, your coach may decide to call a timeout to regroup. At the end of the game, it's generally strategic to stop the clock or set up a play.

At the end of the game it's understandable, and it is also useful to stop runs. But in this case it was really weird. I was down by 6, then closed it to 2 I think. After that he had a basket and another timeout was called. He could have saved it for the end of the game

Yeah, it looks like your coach should have saved a couple more time outs for crunch time. I don't agree with the in game coach many times as well. I guess, just like in real life. Perhaps in the future, BB will have coaches with different levels of skill as an additional staff option. That might be cool.
