Hi,
just wanted to get an opinion on which position people think is the most efficient to train for long time team develpoment (moneywise/skillwise)
Im training centers and got 3 players in the 18-21 yo range selling off 1 in the start of every season (i train shotblock, Inside def/scoring)
other wise i have like 2 players per position (total 11 players)

but i feel 2-3 teams have passed me in the league (gettin better than me) the last seasons.

and prices ii got for centers have dropped lately (while PG and SF are priced very high versus their rating)

any opinions? should i change training regimen ?

Training small forwards seem to bring in the most money for the same amount of training. Training big men can bring in a lot of income, however they must be well rounded. Training big men in just inside skills won't get too much money. Also you said you train shot blocking, inside scoring and inside defence, what about rebounding? Rebounding is an important skill!

im choosing trainees with initially high rebounding and dont train it further (seems to pop once in a while as a side effect though.
the reason for this is that rebounding cant be trained isolated for centers. (i would then need additionally young forward trainee slots)

In my opinion, I think all of the positions are equally important to the team performance. As you have mentioned that a couple of teams are getting better and starting to overtake your team, the fastest respond to that would be buying solid players to improve your team right away. However, as for the training, I am also training my centers as I think that strong inside players are more effective than strong outside players in the long run. So my opinion would be to get okay to good outside players and keep training your big men.
