My understanding was that players on a team that has gone inactive that has a salary over x dollars gets put on the transfer list as a free agent. But then why is this player on the transfer list as a free agent:

Owner: Retired

Weekly salary: $ 2 849

DMI: 8500
Age: 37
Height: 7'1" / 216 cm
Potential: allstar *
Game Shape: strong

Jump Shot: inept Jump Range: pitiful
Outside Def.: atrocious Handling: average
Driving: inept Passing: atrocious
Inside Shot: inept Inside Def.: inept
Rebounding: mediocre Shot Blocking: mediocre ↓
Stamina: awful Free Throw: mediocre

Experience: prominent

Edited so that it is not linked to the player and so cannot be construed as a transfer ad, not that anyone would really want to buy this player anyway :P

Good question.Edit your message like this way because it could be thought as a transfer ad.

Done.
But yeah I am quite confused as to why this player is on the market.
I was tempted to buy him purely because he is so old haha.

If a player was fired, he wouldn't come back as a FA

Ah i thought maybe they changed that with the whole salary update this last season, the reason was something like retired players are coming back because of the escalating salaries.

But thanks for letting me know.

Or maybe was because of this:

Experience: prominent

No one said that the salary was the logic behind the selection of retired players.
Maybe all the players that have at least one skill above, let's say, proficient, can come back!

Normally that players are above the 10k salary ;)
