Hi,
I don't understand why we bother to submit a formation when the substitution pattern ignores it.

In this two matches (22561634) and (22577423)

I have put only 8 players and put two of then to play 48 minutes and the other three starters had one bencher to substitute them.

But in both the player David Ormaondo (13268955) is substituted in the third quarter by a player that was not assigned to that position and never return, whilst the other player played the 48 minutes.

I have checked the substitution and can't see any injury.

Is there any logic that explains this?

Regards

The logic is that the coach does what is required to win the game. If that means that he feels he needs to sub out your player and put in a better player then that is what he will do. The coach does not care about training players, his goal is to win the game.

This only happens when my team is WINNING by great difference (20-30 points or more).

When the team is losing the coach keeps the players marked as starters, even if the benchers are far better.

In case of a blowout, the coach tends to rest the startersas much as he can ( to the point that the backups play almost the same minutes). Maybe this is what happened to you, too. Also, I'd like to know which substitution tactic you used.

Thank you for your interest

Strictly follow depth chart and let them play of course.

I know that blowout behavior so just aligned 8 players, but it is weird that is always the same player of both marked to play 48 who is replaced. Is the third time this season that this player can't get whole training.

And you say rest... why the coach don't take account whole week minutes but only current match. Is "it" a different coach every match? Well that has been discussed long enough, but i still think is awkward.

IMHO if you specify who should be substituted and who should not plus the above rules the coach must not override my directions. Keeping your team shape, salaries and training and win sometimes is difficult enough in this game. So let us have just a little control over who play and who not.

Regards

I agree, the coach AI is not perfect. I don't know when will the AI be revised but I'll try to remember and point out this lapse in order to get it fixed. Sorry I can't be of any more help.

You can assign your 3 leftover players to spots you do not want to get 48 minutes in. The ones you want to get to 48 minute mark must have one player in all spots (starter, sub, reserve).

This is a great help. Nothing is perfect, but the only way to improve is acknowledging what is not working.

Thank you.
