I do not know about copyright aspects etc, but otherwise I think it would be a nice supporter feature to be able to link a song to your club page like the banners. Could be annoying if it starts playing everytime entering a club's page but maybe there could be a button to press for the music to start playing? I think this would add some livelyness to BB-life. The song could maybe also be played at the start of every home game? Would get other people in the mood of your club...:)

Good idea but I can not see it as feasible

The music files will have to be stored somewhere and I doubt the BB server would store all these files as they could take up a significant amount of server space.

Also, copyright issues will be a huge problem. Unless the BBs register themselves with all the record companies which would cost a lot of money, there is no way they can legally be playing their songs.

Perhaps would be enough if there would be youtube window somewhere. So all rights-issues would be solved.

You can upload on youtube whatever you want, even standing ovation if there will be 3 times 3 points in a row:). It is just about where that window should be, how big and when can be played automaticly...

Are you suggesting there be an embbeded youtube video on the home page?? I think it would add to the cluter.

But that point aside, (i'm not a lawyer here but I am just speculating) just because its on youtube, does it make it legal??

Most uploaders of youtube are individuals and the big record/movie companies know they won't be able to recouperate much money by going after them and besides they don't have enough resources to actively shut down all the individual clips which infringe on copyright. BB on the otherhand is a a money making business (if you can call it that, given that they make money from supporter packages). If you are a commercial operation and you infringe copyright, it makes it more likely that you will be targeted. I smell a big lawsuit on the doorstep.
