Read the rules and clear enough it has said the optimal playing time for a player is 48-90 minutes a week. So anything less or anything more is going to have a negative effect on form. Coming from Hattrick, I'm wondering if playing position affects training as well. Consider these scenarios :

1. Player A plays in a training position for 50 minutes in the first game. He then plays 30 minutes in a non-training position in the second game. Will he still receive full training since he played more than 48 minutes in a training position?

2. Player B players in a non-training position for 50 minute in the first game. He then plays 30 minutes in a training position in the second game. Will he receive training for the 30 minutes (Not full as he didnt play 48)?

3. Player A plays in a training position for 30 minutes in the first game. He then plays 15 minutes in a non-training position in the second game. He receives a slight form drop as he only played 45 minutes and receives training for the 30 minutes he played?

Will playing positions affect the training of the player? Thanks.

1. Yes he will, tho i would not advice to play players over 80 minutes total either.

2. Yes he will recive some training for 30min

3. Yes he will recive training for 30min and it's not often that plaeyr who played over 40min drops in form (atleast not in my team)

4. i give you one more example, If you train C/PF and your player plays 23min in C and 25min in PF he will recive full training.

Will playing positions affect the training of the player? Thanks.

If you mean the give preffered position to a player, then no. Height can affect some i think and age.

Thanks for the answers. Won't have to worry too much about mixing and training then.

Yeah, height and age do affect training. And I find the player's preferred position changes from time to time if his skill set changes. I think there's a formula to calculate the best position, and if skills popping results in the skillset dropping into the set of another position, the preferred position changes. My pal's shooting guard just changed his preferred position to small forward.
