I understand that training speed is improved for well balanced players - ie there are other complimentary skills that impact the speed of a given skill increase.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what the relationships are?

Ie for training PF/C type skills, does shot blocking impact training of Inside Scoring more or less than Inside Defense would impact Inside Scoring?

I'm trying to see if it's ok for me to leave one or two of the PF/C skills (shot blocking, specifically) relatively low compared to the others (reb, inside scoring, inside def)

I personally think that the 4 inside skills are all weighted similarly. I realise a lot of people don't like training shot blocking because they don't feel it is as useful for the amount that it costs. However, I think that if the skill is low then it would effect the other 3 inside skills by slowing it down just as much as if inside defence was the low skill.

This gives a nice overview of primary and secondary skills trained.

I don't train guards so can't offer too much experience in that. But I think that Outside Defense, Jump Shot and Jump Range would be strongly linked. And passing, handling and driving would also play a part although not as significant.

However, hopefully someone who has trained guards for a long time could offer their thoughts.
