I'm new to the game and am not sure if this has been brought up before, but what if one of the prizes awarded for one of these mini-competitions (like the current World Cup pick em) was to be allowed to reallocate a certain amount of skill for an incoming draftee or new player?

For example lets say you draft a player whose stats are as follows:

Age: 18
Best position: Shooting Guard
Height: 6'2" / 188 cm
Potential: starter


Jump Shot: inept Jump Range: average Outside Def: atrocious Handling: awful
Driving: respectable Passing: mediocre Inside Shot: pitiful Inside Def.: atrocious
Rebounding: respectable Blocking: respectable Stamina: mediocre Free Throw: pitiful

So for the winner, you would be able to alter these stats somehow right off the bat. One option could be switching stats for different attributes straight up. So instead of:
Outside Def: atrocious, Jump Shot: inept, Blocking: respectable and Driving: respectable you'd have:
Outside Def: respectable, Jump Shot: respectable, Blocking: atrocious and Driving: inept

I think that's the best option but it could be done in other ways too. Any thoughts?

I'm happy with the "rename a draftee" prize for the world cup contest, though I'm scared that whoever wins will come out with the typical BB draft class of "role player role player bench warmer" and wind up firing their renamed player...

For another contest, flipping or slightly bumping or otherwise rearranging skills on a draftee would be interesting. I don't know how set the management is on "not affecting competitive balance with contest rewards" though, since the prizes up to this point have mostly been Supporter packages (which doesn't directly help you win) and now a rename (which hardly helps you win at all unless you go by Jelme's school of "team with awesomest named player wins").

I wont say never, but I would term the possibility of such a thing as "extremely unlikely".

I had wanted to do a design contest for the U21 Banner Logo, with the prize being that we use your banner/logo. =)

I actually offered that prize once and it was met, with, uh, not as much joy as you'd think.
