From commentary in tonight's play off game between United Square and Wigston Werewolves, in the third quarter...

4:51 My team score, with an assist credited to Vicenc Sucarrats and a "spectacular dunk" scored by Pilypas Plakis.

The next recorded action is at 4:19 - 32 seconds later. Plakis makes a steal from the United Square offense, but shouldn't it have been whistled for a 24 second violation by then?

If it helps, I wonder if it is related to the blocked shot / commentary issue. The next action at 4:08 is a blocked shot in which (like everyone else's games) the defender who makes the block is reported as having passed to the shooter, rather than blocking his shot.

I've seen a lot of cases like this, pretty much whenever a shot clock violation isn't called, you know it's a steal. I envision a scramble for the ball lasting many seconds, probably including multiple turnovers by both teams, but only one ends up getting recorded in the final stats.
