Was there ever any thought to perhaps doubling the number of regular season games??

going from the current 22 in 14 weeks, to 44 in say, 18-20 weeks doesn't seem ridiculous....
instead of 2 games against each team inner division and one against each team outside division, make it 4 and 2.

I just see a future problem with so many young players inundating the game. With 3 draft picks every 14 weeks...after another 3 or 4 seasons, you'll have a huge glut of young players who have been trained. Extending the regular season may slow down the erosion of the transfer market (I'm forecasting here a bit) when all those young players are ultimately sold.....
I know there is the expectation that there will be a proportionate number of owners training Guards and small forwards and those traing Power forwards and centers, but that may not be the reality.....

Plus, I just like the idea of a longer season!!!
I'm selfish like that.

Except that guys who are the rough equivalent of Acie Earl wont be trained, thinning those ranks.

Also, remember that there are almost a million possible new players every week in HT.

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke

A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

Why do you always have to let logic get in the way of a great idea?? ;)

Anyway, having played HT for 5 years and the way the transfer market collapsed, I just thought anything to slow down the influx of players would be a good thing...not to mention all the new teams that will be signing on and joining Buzzer Beater over the next 2 years or so......
growth is a wonderful thing and can also be a curse at the same time!!!

I think the HT problem was they didn't have an economist on board from the get go to deal with the ramifications of rapid globalization and growth and then tried anything and everything to create inflation and deflation and stabilization and glorification....well, ok not the last one. But I just want this game to continue it improvement and the economy of this and similar games is crucial to long-term success.......
