Hi guys,

I'm playing a not-so-deep team tomorrow. Since I've got a decent bench I wonder if I should play run and gun (usually I play motion or princeton) to wear my opponent down, or is this too much real life basketball thinking?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that running a fast-paced offense does not wear you down either...but don't quote me on that.

I'm almost 100% sure the quicker pace of an offense does little to hinder your overall performance. I have little data to back the statement up, but I've played Run and Gun for the vast majority of my BB career, and most often players don't start getting tired until the last 2-3 minutes of a quarter, before playing the same first 9-10 the next quarter. This being said, the highest stamina on my team is a strong. I feel that inept stamina should be enough to be fully effective in a fast-paced offense for most of the quarter; my Point Guard who just this week dropped form respectable to average, and has played effectively through to 0:51 left in a quarter before being taken out.

However, I also feel that if you play a faster paced offense, it does even less to your opponent's performance due to stamina, because they're always able to do just as well as I do on offense.
